Although Norwich Spa and Inn is associated with Foxwoods, mohegan sun is less than 5 minutes away. I think the Spa & Inn though might have shuttles to Foxwoods.
Other than that, not too much to do in the Norwich area I'm afraid to say.
What does your husband like to do? There's great golf, fishing, kayaking, in the general vicinity...and of course, casinos. You must have a car, because there's no public transportation around the area.
There is a minor league baseball team in the area (CT Defenders.)
