Flying into either GreenBay or Minniapolis. Ultimate destination is Minocqua. Which is the wiser of the two choices of airports? Also, need suggestion on a cabin or resort. Only want to stay 3 or 4 nights. Just 2 of us. Most websites indicate a minimum of a week stay AND the cabins sleep way more than 2. Any ideas? Main activity will be..FISHING! Thanks

Green Bay airport is going to be about an hour and a half less driving for Minocqua; you should plan on around three hours. I presume you've already been to the Chamber of Commerce website:

Keep in mind that this is a VERY popular summer destination and so cabins are booked well in advance, often by the same people who come back year after year. You might find a resort lodge or some type of motel operation that can be a little more flexible.
You might also try some of the other northwoods destinations such as Boulder Junction, Eagle River and Tomahawk:

Pardon me for listing websites, but there is a lot of info and even though I've been to these resort communities many times, I haven't had to arrange what you are trying to do. Happy trails and good luck!
