north shore Lake Tahoe

Anone stayed at AAA recommended Charmey Chalet Resort, Franciscan Lakeside Lodge or Vista Shores resort? Or, can you recommend a place to stay (with kitchenette)?
Thanks.

When we go to north shore, we always stay at the Brockway Springs Resort. It's a nice place in King's Beach, right on the lake, with condos of different sizes - from studios to 4 or 5 bedrooms.

I've stayed at all three. The Charmey
Chalet was rundown and dirty. The
Franciscan is very nice . The rooms are decorated very cute and woodsy.
The ones on the lake very nice.

Never stayed at the place you mention, however, if you wish to travel as far up as Squaw Valley, The Red Wolf Lodge was nice and kitchenette, hot tubs...and a walk from the base of the mountain.

I've stayed at the Franciscan. I'd stay there again, they're a good value for the price.

My wife and I had our honeymoon in Brockway Springs. It's high end, $375.00 per night.

We also stayed at the Cedar Glen Lodge many times at $65.00 per night. Very clean, AAA I believe.

Gene: $375 a night at Brockway Springs? When did you go and how big was your condo?
We have stayed there many times and only paid that much for one of the lakefront 4 bedroom with loft units.

I checked the current rates for Brockway Springs. The only condos which were $375/night or more were the 3 bedroom lakeview units (6-8 person capacity) during New Years week - the rest of the year they are less expensive, and the 4 bedroom lakefront units (8-10 person capacity).

I thought that $375/night was high for a 2 person condo.

For the 1 bedroom lake view condos, the nightly rate is $179 in winter, $185 in low summer, and $213 in high summer.
