North Carolina Coastal Areas
Thinking of heading to coastal NC the last week of March.
Not interested in Cape Hatteras on this trip. Any comments or suggestions for areas between Beaufort and SC border? Looking for quiet places to do long beach walks. Not interested in night life, shopping or golf.
Would you think temps in 50-60's could be expected?

We went to Holden Beach last year and will be returning again this year...It is a long strech with summer homes along the ocean and nothing else...a wonderful place if you just want to sit and relax...during the summer it was mostly renters and everyone was very friendly...never seemed too crowded a few resturants at the entrance and a small market and ice cream shop...let me know if you want more info on where we stayed...it was a great house

Edenton, although not in the area you're talking about is worth a stop if you haven't been before. It's a gorgeous little town!

Holden is the least commercialized of the Brunswick Islands (ncbrunswick.com). If you search Brunswick Islands you will find a myriad of rental companies (most through realty companies). Sunset would be my second choice. Oak Island has the most amenities & is larger than the others but encompasses several 'beaches'. I've been going to Holden for 40+ years so I'll be happy to provide additional info. We usually rent from brunswicklandrealty.com or Coastal Vacations.

We vacation on Topsail Island each year. It is located about 30 miles north of Wilmington. The island is 25 miles long, mostly developed with single family homes and a few small low-rise condo complexes. Quiet and relaxing, and excellent shelling from time to time.
The temps should be in the 60's, although it can vary.
Enjoy the coast!
