People of all ages go. Wisconsin Dells is a huge area full of hotels, restaurants, shops, etc. It's a huge place.
I used to take my kids when they were growing up. Yes the Dells is touristy, crowded and somewhat campy but it can be a lot of fun. Noahs Ark is a HUGE waterpark with everything from kiddies wadding pools to extreme water rides and is appropriate for all ages.
I'm not a big go-cart fan but Big Chief go-carts is very well maintained with scores of different tracks and carts. I'm generally a non-motorized fun kind of gal but even I had a blast.
thanks
is it closer to dayton OH or sandusky,OH?
Melissa,
WI Dells is in Wisconsin...1 hour North of Madison.
Ya lost me on the OH question??
Almost everything in the Dells is on the "main Drag". Noah's Ark is fun. I have heard that Family Land is nice for days with bad weather because it has an indoor water park.
There is a lot of shopping and bars downtown. A little way out of town, there is a horseback riding place that is fun.
The Dells is fun for all ages! If you're looking for more relaxing activities, you can ride the "ducks" or any other boat rides in the area.
If you go out at night, be sure to "have a swig at Nig's"
