NM in May

Will be 6 mths pregnant in may and dh and I are looking for a getway from NY pre-baby (#2). We would fly into ALQ and rent a car and visit Santa fe and Taos. Any itinerary ideas? We love scenery, arts, and great food

Gorilla, how many days are you visiting? Are you staying in Santa Fe, Taos or Albuquerque??

Send us more info as there are lots of posters here to help out. Will it be the two of you or will you have baby #1 with you? What are you wanting to do? Hike (light hiking since you're 6mo pregnant!), gallery shop, take a scenic drive??

I know there have been several posts lately with restaurants, itineraries, etc so put " Santa Fe" or "Taos" in the search box and you should find a lot of info.

Sorry, I have not responded. It will be just my husband and I. We are leaving 20 month old behind. We are looking to stay for about 4-5 nights. We will fly into ALQ and maybe stay one night there and 2 nights in Santa Fe and 1 night in Taos? I have no idea? Looking also for hotel recommendations in a good location. Fodor's recommends El Rey Inn or Hotel Santa Fe...any other suggestion? Looking to spend less than $200/night.

In Taos check out the Pueblo, the galleries and museums and return by driving the "enchanted
circle". One of the coolest hotels is the La Fonda
located on the Taos Plaza plus it has a great
restaurant, Joseph's Table, known even in NY.
Drink plenty of water, you'll be at 7K feet plus.
