Nice Houston area spa for mother-daughter

Hi. Will anyone recommend a relaxing way to spend a day or two in the Houston area for relaxation and stress relief for mother and (adult) daughter. (for next week) Thanks.

Houston area? That's a big area, and if you have to drive miles and miles to and from the spa, all the spa relaxation will be completely canceled out. Where exactly are you coming from? And are you looking for a day spa or somewhere to spend the night as well?

The Spa at the Houstonian Hotel, not far from the Memorial area... their facials, massages, mani-pedi's, all wonderful.

Where are you staying? Houston is physically more than twice the size of New York.

If mom/girl are near the Houstonian, though, I'd doubt that could be beat - it's well-known as high-end.

Thanks for your replies. We're staying inside the 610 Circle (loop) on the north side of downtown. It looks like The Spa at the Houstonian Hotel isn't too far. I'll check it out.... thanks! (By the way we had to move it forward a week.)

I have been there several times over the past 10 years and the technicians there hve always been very good. It is a very comfortable spa... Very professional and not pretentious. Their grounds are beautiful so take time to enjoy it!
