nice akron hotel for a one-night roadtrip stopover

i wonder if there are any firsthand experiences at akron hotels? it's so hard to tell on online reviews. we're heading west across I-76, then going south on I-71. i wonder if the sheraton suites cayuga falls is worth the slight detour north? or is a simple holiday inn the best bet? want a pool for my kids...
any help appreciated.
