"Next to Normal" Broadway play

I have been reading very good comments about "Next to Normal". Has anyone seen it with the new cast? Would they still recommend it? What are the chances of getting discount tickets or last minute tickets for this?

I saw the new cast last week. The show is still incredible (I saw the original cast last summer and this spring.) The new cast, especially the new female lead, have different takes on the roles, but are still intense and moving. Not a show for everyone -- rock score, almost entirely sung, about mental illness, and definitely not uplifting. In my opinion, it's one of the best shows currently on Broadway.

Discount and last minute tickets will almost definitely be available. It's almost always on TKTS for 50% off. Also, if you're looking for inexpensive tickets, the theatre is small and the mezzanine, even the rear mezz, offer great views.

A review in today's NYTimes (8/14/10) is in agreement with bethke14's opinion: http://theater.nytimes.com/2010/08/1...ef=todayspaper

A most provocative review. Friends saw it the other night and raved about the new cast.
