If you can swing it, the Castle Hill Inn is fabulous! If you don't stay there, at least make sure you have a lunch or dinner with them.

I love The Inn at Castle Hill and have stayed there a few times, but I would also check out The Chanler. I walked by it the last time I was in Newport and it is gorgeous. It's at the beginning of the cliff walk. I've seen it on luxurylink so maybe you can get a deal. It is VERY expensive.

We haven't stayed, but vowed we would next trip, despite the fact that we can stay at the Hyatt free. I too think the cottages would be fabulous!

We eat there every time we go and have never had a bad meal. We are there in the summer, sit on the patio and watch the boats (including 12 meters) sail past. SIGH!!!!

We stayed in the chalet at Castle Hill a number of years ago, and I understand it has only gotten better (it was fabulous then). Coincidentally, just this morning I read that this week it was made a 2008 member of Relais & Chateaux (one of only 55 new members worldwide).

We've stayed there many times. Probably one of our top 5 hotels.

Our favorite room is the Agissiz Suite or the Turret Suite. Both have 180 degree + views of Narragansett Bay. You can sit for hours watching the sailboats in the bay. Either of these two rooms offers up the perfect spot to catch the sunset. We have reservations in August... can't wait to get back!

Everyone is making the Castle Hill sound attraction, which it of course is. However, I have to point out that in early March there won't be any of those beautiful sailboats to look at......

I stayed at a beach cottage at Castle Hill. Those cottages are fairly new. The sunday brunch was a much better meal than the dinners.

I have stayed (and eaten) at Castle Hill many times included in January. It is really lovely no matter what time of year you are there. I actually love it in the winter!
