One thing I noticed right off was no museums. And I kind of wish you hadn't mentioned the knock-offs. That always takes a thread and turns it into a moral debate about funding terrorists etc. Last comment, maybe you should add a stop at Harry Winston's to buy the Judge something really nice Have fun!

My daughter loves the Amerian Girl store; even though you're going on a weekday, try to get there when they open. It's a special place.

We went to the Tiffany exhibit at the Met last month, and we both loved it -- it's based on his own fabulous country estate. We especially enjoyed the cases of objects from faraway places that had inspired his designs.

Oops, I didn't realize it was Tiffany at the Met; so you do have a museum, sounds great!

One note - to see Ellis Island there is only one ferrry - and it also stops at Liberty Island. So - there will be a line for the ferry - and you will get a close up photo op of the Statue from the boat - but don;t get off at Liberty Island.

I was not aware re the KO debate (avoided the word ha) --when you live in deep South not an issue as does not exist ha
We will split up some which I think is fine--we were at a dinner party last nite--thank goodness my 14 year old was not with us--friend had just been to see Wicked and went on and on re how awesome --14 year old bummed we did snag those tickets---I have thought about seeing something Saturday nite also but not sure--

Thanks

We visited NY over Christmas with our 10 year old daughter, and she loved the Natural History Museum. Especially, after watching the movie "Night at the Museum."
She preferred the Statue of Liberty over Ellis Island.
Magnolia Bakery... mmmmm cup cakes.
We also made a trip to Ground Zero. Centruy 21 is right across the street for you shoppers.

You're kind of jumping up and downtown needlessly -

when you're shopping at Bway Panhandler on Monday 3/19 and want pizza in the village you are literally one block from Otto - Batali's pizza place- which you have scheduled for Tuesday after the Met (all the way uptown!) before the theatre in Midtown! . . . I'd switch that around . . . also - get the gelato at Otto - it's very good.

I'm not sure where you are thinking there's a Murray's bagels near Canal St. - Murray's is good but to make a special trip there ? I guess you're thinking to go from your hotel to Canal street, then up 6th avenue to 12th Street for bagels and then to the theatre?

I would agree about changing the time for Otto, if only for sanity's sake. Pre-theatre dinner at 6 might be pushing it, especially with 5 people. You might be better off picking a closer location for that meal.

Otherwise, I think your itinerary sounds wonderful! You'll have a great time.

If you're looking for another show (you mentioned Saturday night) Hairspray would be a perfect choice!

Why not dim sum on the Sunday while you are in Chinatown instead of bagels? And then dinner closer to Top of the Rock? It just might be a little easier.

You might fit in Veniero's later on Saturday when your various plans include St Marks Place and theh Lower Easrt Side.

I prefer DiRoberti's Pastry Shop, which looks the same as it did 75 years ago, while Veniero's has been expanded and glitzed up over the years. DiRoberti's is located on the east side of First Avenue between 10th and 11th Sts, right around the corner from Veniero's.
