New York City-Brunch Before a Show?
I will be in New York City 11/30-12/2. Planning brunch before a show on 12/2. Any recommedations? Also, I have heard several people recommend Mama Leoni's (sp?) for a meal, but I can't seem to find it. Is it still open? Where is it located?

First of all, Mama Leone's (or was it Mamma Leone's?) is long since gone...and good riddance. It was a real tourist trap!
For a Sunday brunch in the area, you could try the Bryant Street Grill in back of the NY Public Library at 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue. Pleasant ambiance with decent food. It's a short walk to the theater district.

Please don't eat at Mama Leone's. It is a tourist trap (not even sure if it's still open to be honest).
For a nice brunch before a matinee, try Bryant Park Grill in Bryant Park. The restaurant is directly behind the NY Public Library at 42nd and 5th Aves. It is a beautiful location and they have a brunch with an entree and mimosa or bloody mary for around $15 per person. It is a short walk from there to the theater district.
Another nice choice is Martini's. It's on 7th Avenue around 50th Street. Italian, with pasta, pizza and other choices.

Aly, you have the two best NYC restuarant minds working together (and I do mean together on this one). Follow their advice and you won't go wrong. Howard and Lisa, your simultaneous posts were too funny!
Incidentally I once had Easter dinner at that old Mama Leone's. Worst meal I ever ate! They could even ruin basic spaghetti.

My very favorite place is Pietrasanta on 9th avenue and 47th. It is Italian and the brunch has numerous selections for entrees including Italian traditional, omelets etc. The bread is unbelievable. Last I was there, the cost was $11 or so and it included one drink. Get there early (I think they open at noon on Sunday) as it gets very crowded.
