I was in NYC in October. Decided not to go with the CitiPass. In our limited time, we were only going to go to 3 of the 6 attractions. Is it worth it? Depends. Plan your time. If you'll have time to make 4 or more of the 6 attractions, it's worth it. It's a wash for 3.

Citipass, not sure if the cost is really worth it, but it depends if you want to see everything on the pass then it will help keep the cost down.
I would recommend taking the tour bus around the city, starting at the Empire State Building. You can get on and off the bus all day and evening long, so you can really get to see alot of the city that way, without getting lost.
Where is the New York Inn, not heard of that one, but there are so many Inns here, hard to keep track or new ones opening.
The weather is already warming up a bit, it is in the upper 40's today so I hope you get some good weather while you are here. I would suggest bringing clothing that you can layer up or down.
Have a great time in our wonderful city.

I have never stayed at the New York Inn but I drive by it every day of the week. From the outside it does not look very appealing. It is one of the older buildings on 8th Ave. I don't know that the rooms are airconditioned or that the building has an elevator - do believe it is a walk up. The neighborhood is fine and the place is conveniently located to Times Square, theatre district, good transportation and restaurants of all types. New YOrk magazine, in a recent edition, had a report on hotels. Under a section "The Best Bed Under $200" they listed the Broadway Inn located at 45th and 8th Avenue (two blocks from NY Inn). I quote from the magazine - "You also get lots of charm for your dollar at the Broadway Inn". Telephone is (212) 997-9200; website - www.broadwayinn.com. Hope this helps.

I used it when I was in NYC a couple years ago and it was worth it, especially if you have limited time. You can jump the lines. Don't assume you have to stand in them--there is a different line for the citipass which was usually substantially shorter. Have fun.
