Hi gang -
I am thinking of checking out the Big Easy for New Years because I have never been. Is it worth it for New Years or would another time of year be better? What happens there around midnight - street festivals? Any hotel recommendations that are in the $200 range and close to everything?
Many thanks!

A Mini-trip to the Phillips Collection -Snapshot

New Orleans for New Year's is always fun. There's even a ball dropping in the French Quarter like in Times Square.
Think New York but with warmer weather and not as crowded but still a lively atmosphere.
