New Year's Eve, Newport, RI -- Brief "Report"

First off, thanks to all who helped! We had a great time. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency which, I must say, was great. They gave us a large corner room with a balcony and a view of the Bay and Bridge. The service at the hotel was fantastic.

I cannot thank the person who recommended Bouchard restaurant enough. The meal was simply exquisite. It beats many a French restaurant here in Manhattan. We will certainly dine there again when visiting.

NYE was had at the White Horse Tavern. We tried to book something else but everything was booked so we just stuck with our original plan. The food was quite good and they had a very good wine list. We sat down to dinner at 10:00 and were very comfortable as the retaurant had thinned out a bit by then. Fairly good service.

The trip home yesterday was a NIGHTMARE due to weather conditions but did not diminsh what turned out to be a very relaxing and enjoyable time in Newport.
