Any suggestions for good spots for New Years in the Greenwich, Stamford or Norwalk area? Even a casual bar that's fun would work - preferably somewhere we would not have to wait on line for an hour and would not cost us a fortune.
Ideally, we would want to have dinner in a pub and then maybe stay through midnight.

Gingerman in greenwich is a great place. Back room with a fireplace, burgers etc and tons of beer choices. More laid back.

Also, a new pub is opening in Greenwich (not sure if it'll be by New Years) - I think it's called MacDuffs and it's on Railroad Ave.
A bit more trendy is g/r/a/n/d in stamford - http://www.stamfordgrand.com/
Barcelona is good too - the Greenwich location has a smaller bar area, but is a good dinner spot for a group www.barcelonawinebar.com
If none of those sound quite right, let me know and i'll keep thinking!
