New Orleans in March and the dreaded clothing question!

My husband and I are going to New Orleans in March. What type of weather and temperature can I expect? Also, what kind of clothes should I wear? Casual or New York city type? Thanks. Tammy

Way to early to predict weather but March is usually nice. USUALLY 60s-70s but again, this can vary widely. We had a freeze in March last year!

Casual works best here but you won't look out of place in New York (black) clothing either.

We were a couple of years ago. The first day was in the 70's then it got a little cooler everyday. At night you needed a jumper or light jacket. On the last day it absolutely lashed it down with rain! so you just can't tell.

So I guess I, at the very least need to take a waterproof coat! How about dressing up? Can I go casual during the day and smart casual at night? Thanks, anybody!

Tammy, yes, unless you're going to Commanders Palace, Bayona etc casual is fine.
