My Husband and I will be heading to NOLA from Dec 29 - Jan 2. We are narrowing our stay down to a few hotels, but currently the Avenue Garden Hotel is the most affordable for our budget and has great reviews online. Thoughts on hotel?
Also - any ideas what we should do for NYE? nothing too crazy as I will be about 5 months pregnant. Probably a good restaurant with good atmosphere. Any recommendations?
Any information and input will be MUCH appreciated as we are both first time visitors!!
Many Thanks!

Driving, flying or taking an Amtrak train? They all work for getting to New Orleans which is in Louisiana and not New Jersey as you tagged it.
I don't know anything about the hotel you mentioned but if it is in the Garden District I'm hoping it is not far off the St. Charles St. streetcar line.
not sure why/how new jersey got tagged?
We are flying.
And the hotel in on the St. Charles street car line. in fact, street car stops right out front.
