Please suggest contact info for a local New Orleans guide with vehicle for hire.
I'll be attending a conference at the New Orleans convention centre and on Saturday March 3/12, I'll have most of the day to spend with a tour/friend. My flight out is at 5pm.
Thanks very much for any suggestions!

Will you be getting out to the French Quarter in the evenings after the conference adjourns?
Do make sure you ride the St. Charles streetcar all the way to the Garden District. I did manage to see a lot of NO without a guide. Does your hotel have a concierge?
Make a friend at the conference and agree to see something in daylight that you may have wanted to see but was closed in the evening. Be sure to have a begniet at Cafe du Monde.
March 3/12. Does that mean you will be there from the 3rd to the 12th.
Thanks so much for your suggestions! I will try to hook up with someone also attending the conference for look abouts during Feb. 29 - March 2.
I'll have most of the day on Saturday the 3rd, before I fly out at 5pm. Was hoping to spend some time with a local person who knows their way around and would be able to join me for lunch and drop at airport at the end of whirl wind tour.
Any contact suggestions?
I highly recommend Alan Raphael. Alan has done numerous tours (cocktail, Katrina, and other specialty tours). He works at the WWII museum and does tours on his off days. You can google him and get his contact info at the WWII museum. Knows the city extremely well and is a great guy.
You Rock!! I will do that BKD.
Cheers!
