New Mexico vacation planning

We are planning a trip to Albuquerque,Santa Fe and Taos next year. Which would be the best time to go? We would like to go in May or June? How is the weather then?

While May can be really nice, it is our "windy" season and that can make it a bit less desirable. June is by far better than May. It will be sunny, pleasantly warm, no humidity of course and cool evenings. Temps drop around 20 - 30 degrees on most nights.

If I can help with any specifics, ask away. I am going to post some recent info I gave someone regarding a similar trip. If you can't find it, click on my name. Also, use the search box at top of page and type in best time to go to NM or similar Q and see what comes up. There's lots on here already from recent Q's.

Hope this helps...

Either month will be good, though, as Debi said, May will have a little more wind.

What are your interests?

ABQ to Durango is 3 hours. Taos takes a bit more time as there is really no direct route...maybe 3.5 or 4 hours. [There are no interstates to Taos or Durango.]
