New Amsterdam Theatre- seat behind pipe?

Can anyone offer advice about tickets at the New Amsterdam Theatre that states "seat behind a pipe". There are very limited options and we need 3 tickets. Has anyone sat in a balcony seat behind a pipe that can offer insight to the view?
The description on Ticketmaster states:
Seat Behind Pipe
A thin structural pipe will be in your line of vision. This pipe should not interfere with your show experience, as these seats do have a full view of the stage.

It sounds like it isn't an 'obstructed view' seat so probably not too intrusive.

But have you tried to get individual seats instead of 3 together? Might net you better seats for all three of you.

I would be annoyed to be seated behind a pipe. And there's a lot going on in Aladdin, so I wouldn't want an obstructed view. I'd suggest looking for 2 + 1 seats. No need to sit side by side if you can get better seats.

I would just bring a wrench and bend it if necessary.

I would find it a major problem - and agree to look at 2 plus 1 seats versus 3 together.
