need suggestions for a June vacation in northeast

Hi

My husband and I are planning a long-overdue vacation in June (1st time empty nesters). We have not explored the NorthEast as much as we'd like.
We are thinking of Maine or Niagara Falls, or is it possible to do both? We will fly from California and rent a car for ~10 days.
Husband is semi-disabled, and strenuous activity or more than a short walk will be difficult.
Thanks for any suggestions

Cape Cod is beautiful in June, as is Maine. Can you say a bit more about how you would like to spend your time?

If you are Casino types you can mix that in with exploring Niagara Falls and the surrounding area... great hotels with Falls Views on the Canada Side and just down the Niagara Parkway is Niagara on the Lake with the Shaw Festival with over a dozen plays to choose from... theres also over 80 wineries to visit and most of Niagara is drive and short walk... the attractions of Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds are disabled friendly (I know that personally)...

Theres also Buffalo for its amazing historical buildings and Frank Lloyd Wright collection and Lake access and Toronto for its big city feel...

Jubilada is correct in asking what you wish to do with your visit... give more info and you will get more...

I wouldn't gear a trip around Niagara Falls, but if you're interested in going to Toronto, Montreal and maybe Quebec city, that might make for a nice trip. You could then do a circle through a bit of Maine and maybe fly back from Boston. Know that best views of the falls are on the Canadian side.

Thanks to all. Not sure what we want to do, we are open. More of the drive and scenery is top, but my husband loves quaint places with local foods, and interesting things such as historical sites, etc. We are limited in walk, except for short ones (may bring his w/c). He has never been to the falls, this is why I suggested. Neither of us have been to Maine. I appreciate all the help!
