I just found out that our party of 10 needs a reservation for dinner in Springfield for Christmas Eve. I'm fairly certain this will be an impossible task, but if anyone has suggestions for a place in or near Springfield, I'd love to hear them. We will have 6 teens/children with us so it doesn't have to be fancy, just decent food. We don't live there but are in charge of making the reservation.
Thanks for any suggestions!!!

What kind of food do you like? My favorites (but more upscale) are Argentina Steakhouse ($20pp), Bijan's (steak and seafood, $25pp), Agrario's (Italian, $30pp), and Nonna's (my favorite Italian, $20pp).
We have all the chain places - Cheddar's, TGIFriday's, Applebee's, etc. Some of my favorite casual places are Baja Grill (Mexican, $10pp), Longhorn Grill (my favorite BBQ, $10pp), and New York Pizzeria ($10/pp). Everyone seems to make a big deal of Lambert's (just south of Springfield), but I'm not a huge fan. I don't think it's worth waiting 2 hours just to be able to say someone threw my dinner at me.
And, of course, Springfield is the birthplace of Cashew Chicken. There are about five zillion Chinese places in Springfield, but my favorite is Jade East on South Campbell.
Let me know if you have preferences and I'll be glad to make other recommendations!
Hmm...just came across your query about places in my home town and wonder where you did go for Christmas Eve. Sounds like Beckers2482 is a native and has a good list and there are many more dependibng on taste. We eat out often and often at non-chain places.
And a laugh about Lamberts...in a sermon on patience a minister asked, "Have you ever had out of town guests arrive and want to go to Lamberts?" Then he hit his forehead.
