Need recommendations for a restaurant in Rochester, NY!
Our son is marrying a lovely girl who's from upstate NY. we need to find a restaurant that can accommodate about 40-50 people in early October.
Since its normally the grooms responsibility we would love to help find a place, but we are on the west coast. Her parents have been looking for a place, but to no avail. Recently they tried Trattas but it was noisy. We've asked for suggestions from the wedding venue, but they have not come up with any good ideas as of yet.
Any ideas? Would love a private room - preferably casual, but nice. Family style ok. Willing to spend up to $2,000.00 for the total bill including alcohol.

We eat here often, great BBQ, fun, casual, and reasonable prices. They have a private room they say seats 40 - 50 people. The downstairs is a bit noisy, not sure about upstairs room.

My DW and I were lucky enough to eat at the Spring House in 1975.
The restaurant within the Spring House is now Monroe's.

There is also an onsite bakery for the cake.
My wife grew up in Fairport.
