Is there a very comfortable, quiet hotel or motel in this area? We're light sleepers and we'll really need to get good rest on this trip. Hoping to find accommodations that are quiet from inside noise (good sound-proofing between rooms) as well as traffic noise. Help much appreciated.

Look online at 'hotels in gaithersbug md'. You should see a map with various hotels listed along with reviews. Look for the ones NOT on route 270.
I just looked and the Wyndam looked good at first glance. Naturally, ask for quiet rooms when you book!
Thank you. Someone else has suggested the Marriott at Washingtonian Center. Do you know it by any chance?
Sorry, poss, I don't. We lived in the area so don't have first-hand knowledge of hotels. Good luck! Please report back and add to our collective knowledge!
