I have made reservations for the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells, however when making the reservations they offered me a room on the ground floor or a room with a view to the woods. I picked the ground floor since Ive heard bad reviews about the 2nd floor and not sure how many floors the Wilderness has. Can anyone help me out if I made a good choice or if I should change the room to a view of the woods? Was the ground floor noisy? Where is the indoor water park located? Please help I will be going in 2 weeks!
Thanks!

OK, Let me start by saying that staying on the first floor or second probably doesn't matter much. What matters is where in the complex you are situated. The place is HUGE and spread out. Even the water park areas are spread out. There are 3 of them - 1 in front by the lobby (geared toward small children mostly), 1 in the middle that has lazy river, slides, hottubs, etc., and a 3rd in the back that is new (don't know what is there because should have just been completed since the 1st of the yr). The back also has a great dry play area that is so cool even adults were having a blast in there, especially the dads! Anyway, the front desk and the farthest waterpark area are probably at least a 1/2 mile apart....AT LEAST! All of that can be walked inside the resort's connected hallways. The connections are on the 2nd floor so that's probably the only deciding factor for me. We were 2nd floor with a woods view and it was fine. I'm assuming the 1st floor is a parking lot view. Regardless of what floor you stay on, plan on doing a lot of walking.
Oh by the way, I believe there are 4 floors throughout most of the complex.
