Need list of upcoming conferences in Chicago

I am choosing a date to go see Wicked in Chicago with my sister & niece in April.(Great show-it'll be their Christmas gift)
I want to avoid the weekends with huge conferences scheduled, but I can't find a Chicago upcoming conference schedule online.
Thanks for your help!

Since April is peak conference and convention month, plan on most of the month.

The first two weeks are Easter Break and will be just as packed.

Go to the McCormick center website and look for a calendar of events.

The week after Thanksgiving there is a massive medical convention, so I would think both the weekend prior and weekend after would be a bit more crowded.

I think this is a sort of back-headed way to do vacation planning. Cities like Chicago, NY, and Las Vegas thrive on convention and business travel. There is likely going to be a big conference or convetion--or a lot of small conferences and conventions--almost every week of the year.

I'd suggest not worrying about it and just find a weekend when the prices are reasonable.

Thanks for the help. It dawned on me to google "Chicago conventions" instead of "Chicago conferences" and found the schedule.
I learned to plan around huge gatherings when I recently tried to book a room in Chicago on Hotwire. All rooms listed were over $400 a night. Come to find there were 123,000 people scheduled to be at conventions that day in Chicago.
I'd like to avaid that scenario!

I do Priceline Chicago all the time and 3 or 4 months out I get great $$ price/location rooms despite who is in town.

I got a room at Swissotel on the Marathon weekend for $69 per night- but I pd 4 months in advance.
