I have been looking at the hotels in Albuquerque and came aross the Clubhouse Inn & Suites Albuquerque. Can anyone give me feedback on this hotel? I wanted to use points and stay at Sheraton hotels along my trek to Nashville, but it appears the Albuqerque Sheraton leaves a lot to be desired. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I can help a bit. When do you plan on staying there and for how long?
I don't know it exactly, but it is quite close to Interstate [I25]. There really isn't anything ]restaurants] right in that area, but if you have a car that shouldn't matter.
It's location is pretty typical of close to interstate hotels - not the best but not the worst. I know the area well, but just am not pulling up a visual!
What is your price range? Maybe I can suggest others.
IF you are not in a hurry, I'll be in ABQ in 4 weeks and take a look see.
Lee Ann might be checking the boards soon and she might know [or she may be away now, not sure] and she lives in ABQ.
Let me know if I can help...
Debi
Debi thank you for your response. I am driving with my daughter and 2 YR grandchild from CA to TN so Albuquerque was the midway stop between Las Vegas and Oklahoma City. I wish they had a descent Starwood in Albuquerque. We are planning to leave the first part of June. If you have any suggestions that would be great. I look forward to your reponse. Thx Karen
Karen, what is your price range?
Debi
Debi - I have to laugh because I have 2 sides to me - there is that one side that there is no limit, but this is one of those practical moments so under $200.00. I did see that resort north of hwy 40, but those rooms were $300+ and I wouldn't be there long enough to justify the cost. Also, we can stay anywhere within 1 hour going east on hwy 40. I do want to may sure that I can get to the next stop which will be Oklahoma City the next day with approximately 8 hours. Thx again.
Karen - hands down for just 1 night and for convenience, evenings managers reception with free drink, hot delish breakfast and nice rooms and only 2 years old -- Embassy Suites

If you were going to be there for a couple of days, Tamaya Resort in Bernalillo would get my vote.
I check random date in June -- the 12th and found rates for $169.
Debi
Debi, actually I look hard and long at Tamaya Resort...so tempting, maybe next time. For now I am changing my reservations tomorrow to Embassy Suites. Thx so much
Hi kdm,

Sorry, I was out of town and just got back yesterday. Now that I've dug myself out from under the laundry mountain, I'm back online.
The Clubhouse Inn is near University and Menaul, by I-25 as Debi said. There is a Range Cafe on University and Menaul (yum), and a Little Anita's, which has pretty good New Mexican food.
Mr. Pickle and I stayed at the Sheraton a year or so ago, and our room was fine.
My sister-in-law stayed at the Embassy Suites last year and thought it was very nice.
