Need info on Giants Stadium in NY and Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philly
My favorite soccer team(ManU) is doing a summer tour of the US. They will play at Giants Stadium on 7/31 and the Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philly on 8/3. What I need is the following:
Closest airport to both stadiums, as I will be flying in for the first game and flying out after the second game. I will probably take Amtrak between the 2 cities.
Any Hilton/HHonors recommendations around the airports, cities, or stadiums would be great.
Thanks!!!

Your best bet is to fly into Newark Airport in NJ. It is convienient to Giants Stadium (which BTW, has numerous hotels nearby) as it is less than 20. In terms of lodging, if enclined, it is possible to stay in NYC as there is a bus that runs from the NY Port Authority to Giants Stadium.
On your return from Philadelphia, you can get off at the Newark Airport Amtrak stop and take a short tram ride to the terminal.

The Philadelphia Airport (Southwest Philadelphia) is 10-15 minutes to the Lincoln Stadium (South Philadelphia)
From Newark you should take Amtrak to the 30th Street Station (Center City). This is 10-15 minutes (depending on rush hour traffic) also from the Stadium. You can take a taxi or the subway system to the Stadium.
There is a Holiday Inn within walking distance to the Stadium. 215-755-9500
The closest Hilton is the Hilton Garden Inn in Center City 215-923-0100
Hope this helps!

Just to clarify something you've probably figured out by now, Giants Stadium is in New Jersey, so you'll want to fly into Newark. The airport is about a 15 minute drive from the Stadium. There's not much to do around the Stadium, but if you don't care and don't want to spend a lot of money, you can stay at the Hampton Inn in Carlstadt which is in walking distance to the Stadium. There will be free parking for your rental car and there's a bus stop out front for busses in and out of Manhattan.

www.gophila.com has some good information on lodging and things to do in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is about a 1 hr. and 10 min train ride from Newark Penn Station to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. There are many very nice hotels in Center City. Try to find a place near the Broad Street subway, which takes you right to Lincoln Financial Field. The Rittenhouse Square and Convention Center areas would be the best places to look for lodging. Some 3 star type properties include the Crowne Plaza, Marriott, and the Doubletree. The Doubletree is actually right on the Broad Street line. In the 4 star category you could look into the Ritz Carlton, Park Hyatt at the Bellevue, and the Sheraton Rittenhouse Square.
