We stayed at the Sheraton the night before an early train - easy cab ride.

If you want to walk, your best options are Courtyard by Marriott at 612 2nd Avenue, which is .4 miles from the train station, or the Best Western Pioneer Square, which is a .5 miles walk. Otherwise, stay any place downtown and take a taxi.

The American Hotel/ HI Hostel is a lot shorter walk.

Maybe 5 blocks east of the train station.
Headed to Vancouver 1st thing in the morning? Make sure your passports are up to date.

Any downtown Seattle hotel would work. There really aren't that many right by the train station. Stay anywhere in the downtown core and just catch a taxi or a bus in the morning.
