Will be in Hartford end of September and looking to do a nice scenic drive from Hartford thru New Hampshire.
Would like to see some lighthouses, covered bridges and the fall foliage.
Will have two days to drive, Friday and Saturday. Any suggestions?
Need help with scenic drive route

Did you go? Do you have suggestions for other travelers?
Constance I just got back from a weekend trip to the Berkshires. I drove up Route 8 from Bridgeport CT. to Winsted CT. for the first time. It's a GREAT road. It's 2 or 3 lane highway for that stretch that's pretty with hardly any traffic at all! From there I headed west on 44 & then north on 7. Discovered the town of Sheffield Mass. Awesome! Magnificent homes, charming area (I got lost in the triangle area on the map between 44, 41 & 7-horse farms, hills, water etc.) and one great looking antique store after another along route 7. It may be further west than you want to be though
PS There was a covered bridge just off our route (signposted covered bridge)but can't remember exactly where (somewhere between Sheffield Ma. & Winsted Conn.)
Also, the NYTimes Sept 7 Travel section had an article on leaf looking thta mentioned lots of websites. Here are a few:
Escapemaker.com
www.foliagenetwork.com times best foliage
gorp.com/gorp/features/fall/fall2.htm
YankeeFoliage.com
mclaurie, I found the article CYBER SCOUT; Reds and Yellows On the Screen And on the Trees. Thanks for your help.
No problem. Leaves will be very late this year I think. There were hardly any turning this weekend.
