Need help finding relaxing spa in Seattle area,

My daughter has to miss her senior prom due to ski racing, and I have promised her a weekend getaway and pampering when she is done with the race circuit. Would love advice on what hotels to stay at, or where there is a good spa in the Seattle area. Prefer city, as we never get up into the city much, can do some shopping at the same time.

There is a Tubs Sun Spa at 47th and Roosevelt near the University District. When we lived in the city my wife and I used it quite often. Reading the comments in yelp.com, it seems to have retained its attractiveness.

Hi Bob, Sorry but Tubs is closed (has been for awhile now, so yelp must be out-of-date).

People like Ummelina. Nordstrom's also has a day spa.

For a special trip, I'd head to the Four Seasons which has a lovely spa.

Tubs is not only closed, it looks like the side of a NYC subway car ca. 1978. I fear "rat infested wreck" is probably an understatement; albeit quite the grafiti experience. Picture here: http://tinyurl.com/y6ljyfg

Agree on the Four Seasons.

Let's just say that I don't drive down Roosevelt very often, but I do get responses from Google that mislead me.

That's OK Bob, I've run into that with restaurant listings too (internet listing being out-of-date). Like Gardyloo, I only happen to know because Roosevelt is a regular driving route for me.

I relly like the Nordstrom spa. The location is good since it is in the heart of the shopping area too, which is convenient for you.

As for hotels, The Mayflower Park Hotel is very nice and is perfect for a girls trip, and very close to the spa.

Oh I missed the request about hotels. Ditto the Mayflower Park. Love that hotel! The Warwick imo is another good choice and value.

The Mayflower sounds wonderful, and they are having a special rate for April. Has anyone gone to the Urban Yoga Spa, which is offered there as a special package also?

I've seen Urban Yoga Spa from the outside, but no haven't gone there myself. It's a fairly new place.
