I will be heading up to Norman, OK later this month with my son for a "Junior Day." We will need to stay 2 nights. There are lots of hotels in the area, but I have never been to Norman and DH wants to make sure we are staying somewhere "safe"!
Not looking for anything real fancy, but more than a Motel 6! Something like a Marriott Courtyard. Want to be relatively close to the campus and being close to some restaurants would be nice, too.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Ask the Admissions office for info. Colleges can be surprisingly helpful - especially to prospective students.

Norman isn't very scary anywhere, but most of the motels/hotels (Hampton Inn, for example)are out by the interstate, a bit of a slog to campus. The University has its own inn near the stadium, probably most convenient: Sooner Hotel and Suites
