Need Cpmpanions for a drive from the US to Panama

I have a friend who wants to drive his motorcycle from the US to Panama and back. I've looked on the internet and I don't see any groups that he can join. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find companions? The companions could be in cars I suppose and he could tag along on the motorcycle.

You might want to consider posting in Mexico/Central American Forum.

Thanks nytraveler. I did that first and someone there said they know of a group the goes every year by car from TX to Costa Rica. However they did not know how to contact the group and suggested I post on the US forum tagged for TX.

I am looking for this group. If anyone knows who they are could you please let me know?

Thanks.

You might want to also try posting on the Lonely Planet Thorntree forum for Central America.

Tell him to look at the Expedition Portal Forum.

It is for exactly this kind of trip and has lots of info for both bikes and four wheel vehicles.

The Expedition Portal looks promising. I passed it on to him. If any one else has suggestions they would also be appreciated.
