Need Condo Recommendation in Islamorada.

We normally go the resort/hotel route but this year there are 5 of us going down plus a boat. I have been perusing condos on vrbo.com. I am very leery of renting one without seeing it and I don't want to be next to the Overseas Highway. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

I don't know if this will help but I just got back from Islamorada. If you cannot find a condo check out The Moorings. You can rent a cottage (on the Atlantic side). The location is nice...convenient to nice restaurants etc..I did not stay at The Moorings but my husband and I checked it out and we thought it would be perfect if there were more people in our party.
We stayed at Casa Morada and absolutely loved it (on the Bay side). I cannot speak highly enough of this property...it exceeded our expectations and it is not on the Overseas Highway..It does have a dock by the way....I hope this helps....

My family rented so many Keys condos we finally bought one. Ask the vbro to send you more pictures to help narrow down the choices. Most places will require a one month rental period - don't know if that fits with your plans. You may also have a problem bringing a boat to some. Executive Bay, for example, limits boat slips to owner. If you want to list the condos you are looking at, I can tell you what I know of them.

I have found many condos which will rent by the week. As I stated earlier, I am very leery of renting something unseen. I asked one owner for more pictures and they stated they did not have any. As to buying a condo, that is not in my immediate plans and as this point the boat is secondary.

Has anyone stayed or seen the Futura Yacht Club condos? Thanks.

Whoa - didn't mean to be rude or patronizing. There are just lots of condos in the Keys and I didn't think a scattershot of info would help. Futura is a nice complex. Here's a website with more information with lots of pictures of lots of condos. http://www.fl-keys-realestate.com/futuraphotos.htm
It's in a great location. Even though it's located bayside, there it will be easy to get to the ocean.
