Need advice on Charleston area
We are planning our first trip to visit Charleston and the nearby coastal resorts in May or early June. What are you favorite places to stay in the city and in the coastal resorts?

Gee Bob. YOu are not at all new to these boards and you KNOW that there are at least a hundred thread about Charleston. I just never understand "new" posters coming and asking to reinvent the thread about "best Charleston stuff". Sorry.

You might want to look at Restoration on King. I recently walked through it-very nice. Look a Harborview if you want harbor view. Market Place Pavilion has a nice rooftop.
Wild Dunes is great if you want to be on the beach, as is the Sanctuary out on Kiawah.
Remember that May and early June are extremely busy months due to Spoleto Festival. You should book something soon. Rates are high so expect to pay extra.
