Need Acadia/Mount Desert Trip Advice

We're planning a trip to MDI in July, staying in Southwest Harbor and doing lots of stuff in and out of the park. So I have a few questions:

1) Restaurant recommendations. We love seafood, particularly lobster & lobster rolls. Any suggestions, particularly in the SW Harbor area?

2) Where's the best place to buy groceries?

3) We'd like to do a whale watching trip. Any suggestions on who we should go with?

4) Same for kayaking. Any recommendations?

5) We're thinking about a day trip to the Cranberry Islands. Is this worthwhile, and any advice on this?

6) Anything we absolutely shouldn't miss? A particular hike in the park, perhaps, or something else?
