Problem might be getting a late train BACK to BWI so perhaps driving in and parking somewhere like New Carrolton and the Metro from there if you are nervous about driving in the city..which wouldn't be that bad depending on your route.

If you have a car, drive to Metro. Do not drive to the ballpark as there is reported to be no public parking anywhere near it. The few lots that exist are fully booked for season pass holders, and on-street parking will be restricted to locals with with neighborhood permits.
If you can get to the Greenbelt metro (Green Line), you would avoid having to change trains downtown. If you board at New Carrollton (Orange Line), you'd need to change at L'Enfant.
Or, from the Nats website, http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/...directions.jsp
there this :
"Park FREE at RFK Stadium and board a FREE Nats Express luxury motorcoach to and from Nationals Park. ADA motorcoaches will be made available. The Nats Express will operate continuously from at least an hour and a half before game time through an hour and a half after the last inning."
