many great spots--monmouth plantation is one
MONMOUTH is THE only place to stay in Natchez....www.monmouthplantation.com.
Some of the most beautiful grounds you will ever see...breakfast is great.....free tour in the morning after breakfast.
My vote goes to Riverside B&B. It is on the bluff overlooking the Miss. River. Nothing like having morning coffee on the veranda overlooking the river. The home is on the Nat'l Register of Historic Places. It is owned by a colorful gentleman who was raised in Miss. and has stories galore. We enjoyed our visit so much that we made a special trip back the next time we were in New Orleans.
Just returned from Monmouth -- wonderful and romantic. Dinner was wonderful, the service impeccible, the grounds gorgeous. Our room was a suite with a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, four-poster, king size bed, walk-in closet and even a back porch with a swing! I know the original post was quite old, but just had to add my two cents in case anyone was considering a visit to Natchez. We can't wait to go back!
