Naples/ Fort Myers
I will be visiting my parents in March. I am looking for new things to do and try. I refuse to eat at chains and have been traveling down to southwest Florida for years. I enjoy good quality food at reasonable prices. Any southern restaurants, places for music, or bakeries? My favorite restaurant is the Turtle Club for lunch on the beach. I appreciate craft beers and look forward to checking out local breweries. My idea of a good time is the beach, pool, and then dinner, so I do not need any advice there. Any rainy day ideas? Thanks for your help!

Well, Randy's Fish Market Cafe has closed but Randy apparently has another fish market restaurant also on 441, and another place has gone into where Randy's was but with the same menu. I liked River House on Bonita Beach Road a lot for casual fish on the deck, and I liked another combined fish market and restaurant called Bass River near Robb and Stucky but on the other side of 441. Is this a theme?
There was a Cuban place on the other side of the airport that specialized in food from Oriente, maybe Fernandez? Bha Bha served delicious Persian food in Vanderbilt Beach shopping center. I went to a very fancy Mexican restaurant with an amazingly authentic menu -- menudo in Naples! But they also had baked walleye for people from Minnesota. It was in the area near Don Shula's.
I don't eat red sauce Italian or bakery items, so I am no help there.

I was trying to say that I do not need day time activities (unless it is raining) because my days will hopefully be spent enjoying the pool and the beach. I am looking for new restaurants.
Turtle Club is my favorite area restaurant for lunch. It can be too $$ for dinner. Grilling at Delnor-Wiggins state park and The Turtle Club are the two things I must do. I also enjoy Doc Ford's and Reuben's Smokehouse. We have gone to The Claw Bar attached to The Bay House to listen to music, but I would like to try some new places.

Thanks Ackislander! When on vacation, I like trying new places. I have been to Fernandez, but my parents did not like it. I have always wanted to try Bha Bha. Thanks for your feedback. I did not know Randy's closed.
