Naples, Fl...where to fly in to?
I know, I'm going to NYC this Friday so why am I asking about Naples, FL?? Well, I just got an invitation from yet another cousin (other side of family) to visit her, her mom, and my sister too, at their time share in Naples. I have never been there, don't even have a clue where it is and I'm too busy now with NYC to get a map out!!!
This invit. is for early-mid. December and that is a busy time for me so I don't know if I'll be going but, if I did....where would I be flying into?? I'll be flying from either LAX, Burbank, or Ontario, CA.
Thanks...sounds like fun....an all girls week!

Shadow, Naples is on the southwest coast of Fl. There's not really an airport there. Closest as wow says is Ft. Meyers and it's directly across the state from Ft. Lauderdale. kayak.com is a great website for this kind of thing. You type in the cities and it finds the airports for you and then gives you flight options and prices. It appears flight cost is ~$300 from LAX and you'll have a make 1 change of plane. Naples is beautiful.

You can fly JetBlue from Burbank or Ontario to Ft. Myers (with a connection in NY). The Ontario flight is a redeye, but there are more flight times from Burbank. The drive from Ft. Myers to Naples is about 45 minutes.

Depending on where in Naples, yes the drive from RSW (Ft. Myers) is about 45 minutes. The drive from Ft. Lauderdale airport is about an hour and 15 minutes and is direct on I-75 (Alligator Alley), and I like the airport there very much. For the half hour difference we find that we are flying in and out of Ft. Lauderdale far more often than RSW. We love doing AA nonstops from LAX to FLL. Jet Blue might give you a nonstop to RSW, but I have yet to price them and find that one way or the other wasn't extremely expensive. If I find a good one way fare one way, then the return is very expensive.
But I would avoid Miami at all costs (including making a connection there to fly on to Ft. Myers).
