Hi all!

My twin sister is looking to throw her bachelorette party in Napa, CA. The big issue is that the weekend of her bachelorette is going to be Labor Day Weekend, unfortunately.

I currently do have some hotel rooms reserved as back up (Embassy Suites Napa Valley and Best Western Elm House Inn Napa), but these are posing to be a bit too expensive for some of the girls.

Does anyone have any recommendations of some cheaper yet nice and clean places to stay for a bachelorette group? We're looking to stay two nights and will have approximately 10-12 girls.

Also, any suggestions on cheap transportation for wine touring/tasting on that Saturday? Looking to go to a handful of vineyards, but aren't too picky about which ones.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

No specific recommendations, but please be sure to call ahead to the wineries you choose. A lot of tasting rooms are small, and would struggle to accommodate such a large group without any advance notice.

Also, I hope you're aware that tasting fees will run $15-25 per person in the Napa Valley. You can get free tastings at some wineries with coupons, but you'd have to make sure to get enough coupons for each person, obviously.

I hope others can help with specific suggestions for you.

You may want to look at renting a house to accommodate everyone. Check VRBO. Get some cases of wine, food and a pool and you will be set. It is not going to be an economical weekend as pointed out: tasting fees are pretty much the norm and you would need several limos or a mini bus.

Cheap transportation is going to be really hard--I hesitate to say impossible--to find on Labor Day weekend. A rental house is a great idea.

Thanks, all. I was pretty much assuming those would be the responses that I would get. I'm clearly living in an ideal world - very tough for me to plan a Napa getaway while living in NYC! Haha. I appreciate your insights!

Oh boy, that IS tough!

We've run into pre-arranged limo tours at wineries over the years. I wonder if a package that includes transportation and a handful of tastings would be affordable? I know it would be a whole lot easier! Sorry I can't name any...

I just found what might be the most perfect house rental right in downtown Napa, so long as it pans out to be as good as it sounds. Thank you all very much!

Also take a look at St Helena, Yountville,Calistoga for houses. Napa would really depend on location. Some parts are better than others. My first choice would be St Helena. The town of Napa my last.

SO Fun! Any of the wineries will be wonderful. Let them know you're celebrating. Some of my favorites include: Peju, Chandon, Nickel & Nickel and Elyse.

We stayed at the Meritage last August and it was sublime. In the past I have also stayed at the Yountville Inn, which is a fabulous location, near coffee (Bouchon) and great restos (Ad Hoc, French Laundry, Bouchon, etc).

Also check out the outlet malls. They are worth a visit for a group of girls.

Embassy Suites is also a good choice. DOn't go into the experience w/ a "cheap" mindset. Very few things in Napa/St. Helena/Healdsburg are cheap. It's pricey but worth it.

Ahhh, so jealous! I'm sure you're going to have the greatest time. I've done a few trip reports (links below) about our shenanigans up in Napa (my Mom's 49th & 50th birthdays - no Bachelorette Parties, but I think some of the ideas may be helpful since we're a fun-loving crowd

As for transportation, we're always a smaller party, but we prefer limos. For a bigger group of 10-12, I'm not sure how that'd work...

In terms of lodging, I've heard good things about VRBO. Maybe having a house as a home base would be fun...
