where to eat with a couple of tweens
Hi,
we are going to the island for the first time in a couple of weeks and although i read the food reports with much interest we are traveling with a couple of 11 year olds. So we don't need chicken nugget and pizza s but certainly not super fancy romantic places with $40 entrees. Any suggestions, especially for dinner?

Trip Ideas
The Brotherhood is a good casual place that I would try. It's in the center of town and IMO has the best food in your price range.
The Ropewalk at the end of Straight Wharf has a new, reduced price menu. We have not eaten there yet this season but had enjoyed it in past years. Their menu had inched up in price last year but we noticed it's back to the earlier more affordable prices. The location is great - right on the water.
Avoid Captain Tobey's on Straight Wharf. The Tavern next door is okay, but not as good as The Brotherhood.
If you do want pizza, Pi Pizza (outside of Town) is good plus they also have pasta dishes.
Enjoy your visit.
