Myrtle Beach
Hi people, myself and a group of 7 golfers from England are coming over to Myrtle Beach at the end of October. Can anyone give us some info on what weather to expect while we are on your fine courses. Also any recommended restaurants for the group meal on the final night.
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards, Andy.

Hi, I live 80 miles inland from Myrtle Beach. The weather at the end of October should still be fairly warm, in the 70's. If it rains it'll be cooler, but not much. Bring a light jacket for the evenings. As for a nice dinner, any restaurant in the Windy Hill section of North Myrtle, like Chestnut Hill, would be good. Try and get over to Broadway at the Beach while you're there, lots of great shops and dining there as well. Have fun!

The previous post gave an accurate view of the weather--it should be just beautiful. For the best restaurant in the MB area go about 30 minutes south to Pawley's Island and eat at Frank's. REservations are a must. Another in Pawley's is Altston's. A whole little town of great eating is Murrell's Inlet just north of Pawley's and south of MB.
If you want phone numbers, ask on the board. A great course in the area is The Tradition at Litchfield (Pawley's).You will love golfing in the area. Have a great trip.
One thing you may want to get at some point in your trip is an oyster roast.
Also try very hard NOT to go to the "all you can eat seafood buffets". They are awful. There is much better seafood to be eaten in the area.

My favorite restaurant in MB is Villa Romana at 707 South Kings Highway. It is an authentic Italian, family owned place with absolutely wonderful food and a lively atmosphere. "Mamma" comes out of the kitchen to dance to accordian music -- like something out of a Coppola movie. You'll love it.

For a nice casual meal, try T-Bonz (at Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot landing). For some of the best Japenese Food ever and a fun meal (made at your table) go to Nakotos (between MB and N. MB). They usually take reservations and it is everyone's favorite who come to visit me in MB. If you want a nice lunch, go to Oscars in N. Myrtle Beach. it's a restaurant/bar with some great sandwiches. Enjoy the golf!

Andy,
Good suggestions from previous posters. I concur the weather will probably range from 65 to 75 degrees F in the day and 50 to 60 at night.
Since you appear to be looking for a special occasion restaurant for your meal on the final night, I suggest Greg Norman's Australian Grill (in Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach). I have not been yet, but my brother-in-law says it is an excellent (albeit expensive) place. Also, it would certainly fit the theme of your vacation!
Have a great time!
