My parents (who live in Chicago) would like to visit Mt. Rushmore and the Black Hills. They have traveled throughout the world for the last 50 years but have never been to this area. Can anyone suggest a hotel and/or tours that would be appropriate. They are not great walkers and prefer to have someone else do the driving. They hoped to take a train but could not find any Amtrak trips to South Dakota. They like higher class accomodations. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not real sure I can help you other than I know a couple of pretty elderly who did the area with Tauk Tours and loved them.
By the way, make sure they get to see the back of Mount Rushmore. For some reason many tours miss that. Here's a picture:

Quite a few bus tour companies do the Black Hills. Collette vacations has a great program in which people fly into Rapid City meet up with their group then use a local carrier to tour the hills. They are upscale and I'm sure your parents will enjoy traveling with them. Here is their WEB address
