We are going to be at the Independence Day celebration on the 3rd of July at Mt Rushmore and it sounds like there will be lots of people. Anyone been there for that event and have any tips or suggestions on what to take or what to do or not do?

In brief, the current crowd expectation is 30,000 to 40,000. The parking lot opens at 7 am, fills by 10 am. Be prepared to walk some distance from your car if you arrive later.
