Mothers Day brunch or dinner - west of DC

Will be in DC Mothers Day weekend. Sister lives 1.5 hours west of DC. Any suggestions on place we could meet for dinner - could be closer to DC than western VA - keeping in mind that it is Mothers Day and crowds are likely to be a factor (as one waiter once said to me - it is more difficult to work on Mothers Day since all the amateurs dine out then)

Dukey's suggestion of l'Auberge is a very good one. Love that place. Very nice French country atmosphere, great food and service, easy parking.

Yeah...where is she in VA?

In the Culpeper area, Foti's or It's About Thyme.

The Inn still has reservations for brunch available:

The Inn at Little Washington definitely has the "wow" factor. As a family, though, we've enjoyed the Red Fox Inn in Middleburg. I've not been for Mother's Day (I'd much prefer to be hiking or biking than eating brunch), but the drive and the scenery is lovely, and the food is very good.
