Am probably headed to southern Vermont on Saturday from north of Boston. Anyone have any idea which route(s) would be most scenic this weekend?
Specifically, I'm trying to choose between these options:
MA-40 from Lowell to Groton and then MA-119/NH-119 from Groton to Brattleboro
NH-101 from Nashua to Keene and then NH-9 from Keene to Brattleboro
I'm open to other routings, though.
Thanks for your help!

Probably this: "NH-101 from Nashua to Keene and then NH-9 from Keene to Brattleboro" but I would try to detour down through Jaffrey for part of it since Mt Monadnock should be spectacular.
Another thought. VT 9 between Brattleboro and Bennington is probably past it as far as color is concerned WEST of the height of land. VT 106, 30, and 100, which you are probably following into North Adams, should be good. The valleys are behind the tops.
Thanks for the input, Ackislander! I will let you know how it goes.
