Monte Carlo at $59 or Bally's at $49?
Sorry, but it's another of those "which hotel in Vegas should I book?" questions.
We're going to Vegas in Dec. and we have narrowed our choices down to Monte Carlo at $59 per night versus Bally's at $49 per night. We will need two rooms and are staying four nights, so the total price (pre-tax) would be $472 for MC or $392 for Bally's.
Any advice on which would be a better bet? We've stayed at MC many times and like it, but think staying someplace else might be fun for a change. We like gambling at Bally's but have never stayed there. Any opinions?

Oh yeah, the pool area wouldn't be a factor anyway because we never go swimming when we're in Vegas (and certainly not in December!).
And I meant to ask before if you can get good Strip views from the higher floors of Bally's. I can't remember whether the towers at Bally's run the same direction as the Strip (so you would have good views from that whole side) or if the towers run the other way (so no good Strip views).
Thanks.

We have never stayed at Monte Carlo, but have stayed at both Bally's and Paris (which are connected). Bally's has big rooms, but Paris is definitely nicer and newer than Bally's. It's always been our experience that whatever rate Bally's is offering, Paris is only $10 more per night. If this is the case for your trip....try Paris. I don't think you'll be disappointed and the location can't be beat. If it's not filled, you may get upgraded to a suite. That's what happened to us and it was an awesome room for only $69 per night. We loved it!!

Hi Sam,
I have not stayed in Bally's but have stayed at the Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is fine and I liked it and connected to the Bellago by a monorail.
If I recall correctly, one of the towers at Ballys is parallel to the strip( ironically it is the one furthest away from the strip) while one is at right angles facing Paris from one side and the Barbary Coast from the other side so I do not think you will get a full strip view at Ballys. (a Partial strip view ,yes)
Regards
