Can you suggest a cozy romantic resort on Montauk? Preferably a place that does not allow children and caters to couples.
A place with privacy and easy access to the beach.

Two years ago my husband and I stayed at Gurney's Inn (& Spa) in Montauk. It was one of the finest places we've ever stayed. Along with the spa treatements available their restaurant and lounge were fabulous. They are located on Old Montauk Highway right on the beach (although its quite a few steps (literally "stairs") to the beach -- but well worth the trip since it was one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Some of the rooms are located almost beach front, they seem to be almost built right into the dunes leading to the beach. I'm not sure about the "no children" aspect but I don't remember seeing any, and would highly recommend Gurney's.
Enjoy!
If it's still there - Panaramic View, right next to Gurney's. Very nice and not as fussy and not as expensive.....
